Im Auftrag des Generalstabs zur Katastrophenbekämpfung teilte das Pressebüro des Staatsrats am Dienstag mit, bis Montagmittag seien 69.200 Menschen durch das verheerende Erdbeben in Sichuan ums Leben gekommen. 18.195 Personen gelten noch als vermisst. Die Regierungen aller Ebenen haben bis Montagmittag Gelder in Höhe von 61,6 Milliarden Yuan RMB für die Katastrophenbekämpfung eingesetzt. Es gingen in- und ausländische Geld- und Sachspenden im Wert von insgesamt 59 Milliarden Yuan RMB ein. Bis zum gleichen Zeitpunkt wurden bereits gespendete Geld- und Sachmittel im Wert von 22,7 Milliarden Yuan RMB in die Katastrophenregion geliefert. |
