Die Regierungen aller Ebenen Chinas haben bis 12 Uhr Sonntag 59,043 Milliarden Yuan RMB für die Erdbebenbekämpfung eingesetzt. 53,696 Milliarden kommen aus dem Staatshaushalt, 5,347 Milliarden aus Haushalten der Lokalregierungen. Laut Bericht des chinesischen Ministeriums für Zivile Angelegenheiten sind bis zum gleichen Zeitpunkt 69.197 Menschen bei dem Erdbeben ums Leben gekommen. 374.176 weitere wurden verletzt. 18.289 Personen gelten noch als vermisst. Anderen Meldungen zufolge wird die Weltbank China eine Million US-Dollar aus ihrem Fonds für die Weltumwelt spenden, um zu helfen, die Auswirkung des Erdbebens auf die Umwelt zu bewerten. |
