| Ausländische Spitzenpolitiker würdigen Chinas Maßnahmen zur Katastrophenbekämpfung |

     Angesichts der tausenden Tote und Verletzter sowie des immensen finanziellen Schadens durch das verheerende Erdbeben in Sichuan am vergangenen Montag haben verschiedene ausländische Spitzenpolitiker dem chinesischen Volk ihre tiefe Trauer und Anteilnahme ausgedrückt. Gleichzeitig würdigten sie die Rettungsarbeiten der chinesischen Regierung in den Katastrophengebieten. So lobten zum Beispiel UN-Generalsekretär Ban Ki Moon, der ägyptische Präsident Muhammad Hosni Mubarak, der Präsident des japanischen Senats Satsuki Eda, der vietnamesische Verteidigungsminister Phung Quang Thanh, der australische Außenminister Stephen Smith, der neuseeländische Handelsminister Phil Goff sowie der EU-Kommissar für Außenhandel Peter Mandelson die schnelle Reaktion der chinesischen Regierung angesichts der Katastrophe und bewerteten die umgehend durchgeführten Rettungsmaßnahmen als sehr positiv. |
